He’s used to movie sets and posh accommodations, but Jake Gyllenhaal had a departure from reality on “Man Vs. Wild.”
The “Day After Tomorrow” actor make a guest appearance on the July 11th Season Premiere episode with host Bear Brylls.
Jake and Bear embark on a two-day trek into the Icelandic wilderness which put Gyllenhaal’s intense fear of heights to the test.
Grylls told Jake, "It takes balls. I'm not joking,” to which he replied, "Well, they're right up in my throat right now."
Bear added, "The wild is always very revealing -- not only physically but mentally. You've got to smile when it's driving horizontal hail and be able to face your fears and just get on and do it -- and on both of those accounts, Jake came up strong."
